Harakka Artists’ House on Harakka island houses 30 studios for professional artists and artisans. The artists’ association Harakka ry organizes exhibitions and other art events on the island. Harakka ry is part of the AAH – ART ACHIPELAGO HELSINKI network.
Take a peek at the Harakka Artists’ House by reading an article in The New York Times Magazine or by watching a short documentary Marika Maijala – Island Artist by Mark Vicuña.
The Harakka island ferry, main building and gallery spaces are not accessible by wheelchair, and the nature trail moves in difficult terrain.
Harakka Artists’ House is owned by Helsinki City. More info on Harakka island in English on Helsinki City web page.
