Vuosina 2003–2014 toteutettu taiteilija Annette Arlanderin teos Animal Years (Eläinvuodet) on sarja kahdentoista vuoden aikana Harakan saarella kuvattuja performansseja kameralle. Nimi perustuu kiinalaisen kalenterin kahdentoista vuoden sykliin. Performanssit toistettiin vuoden ajan noin kerran viikossa samassa paikassa ja kuvattiin aina samalla rajauksella, kamera jalustalla. Videoteokset muodostavat eräänlaisen maiseman muistin, ne näyttävät vuodenaikojen vaihtelun sekä sään ja ilmaston aiheuttamat muutokset ympäristössä. Teokset ovat koettavissa saarella alla olevan kartan ja Harakan saaren maastoon sijoitettujen QR koodien avulla..

Animal Years is a series of performances for camera by the artist Annette Arlander realized in the years 2003-2014 on Harakka Island. The name is based on the twelve year cycle of the Chinese calendar. The performances were repeated approximately once a week for a year in the same place and recorded with the same framing of the image with the camera on a tripod. The video works form a kind of memory of the landscape; they show the shifting seasons and the changes that weather and climate cause in the environment. The performances can be experienced on the island with the help of QR codes and the map below.
