This exhibition describes the current weirdness and eeriness of our society and the atmosphere in the world through sculpture and painting.
They are odd inventions, personal devices, protective garments — tools for surviving or understanding the strangeness around us.
They become ecological and philosophical statements reflecting the integrity and interconnectedness of the worldview. The works become tools and symbols of provisioning and supporting the artwork user towards an uncertain landscape.
Additive Enchantment (Æ) works are created partly from materials found in nature and the environment, such as driftwood, plastic debris, old fishing rods, and tools that have already had a life of their own.
The Æ process brings new life to used and discarded materials, giving them both physical and spiritual value.
I am Walter Götsch, a Finnish visual multidisciplinary artist working within the artistic practice I have developed, Mythographic Geospatial Art. My work explores the intersections of myths, human activity, and natural environments. It contributes to contemporary environmental art, the search for human identity, and the connection to nature.
I create M.A.R.P.S. (Mobile Art, Research and Production System) works in natural settings ( Usually the more rural the better ), documenting them with GPS coordinates and analog photography.
My practice also includes Zone Probing (ZP), an artistic research method rooted in psychogeography, searching for human-made and natural anomalies, and Additive Enchantment (Æ), a sculptural approach in which discarded materials are given new meaning. Drawing inspiration from Land Art, Situationist thought, and the environments I traverse, I create works that engage in a dialogue with history, materials, and environment.

Tämä näyttely kuvaa yhteiskuntamme nykyistä outoutta ja aavemaista tunnelmaa sekä maailman ilmapiiriä veistosten ja maalausten kautta.
Teokset ovat kummallisia keksintöjä, henkilökohtaisia laitteita, suojavaatteita — työkaluja selviytymiseen tai ympäröivän outouden ymmärtämiseen.
Ne muodostuvat ekologisiksi ja filosofisiksi kannanotoiksi, jotka heijastavat maailmankuvan eheyttä ja keskinäistä riippuvuutta. Teoksista tulee välineitä ja symboleita, jotka tukevat ja varustavat taiteen kokijaa kohti epävarmaa maisemaa.
Additive Enchantment (Æ) -teokset syntyvät osittain luonnosta ja ympäristöstä löytyneistä materiaaleista, kuten ajopuista, muoviroskasta, vanhoista onkivavoista ja työkaluista, joilla on jo ollut oma elämänsä.
Æ-prosessi antaa käytetyille ja hylätyille materiaaleille uuden elämän, tuoden niille sekä fyysistä että henkistä arvoa.
Olen Walter Götsch, suomalainen visuaalinen ja monialainen taiteilija. Työskentelen itse kehittämäni taiteellisen käytännön, Mythographic Geospatial Artin, parissa. Taiteeni tutkii myyttien, ihmistoiminnan ja luonnonympäristöjen risteyskohtia. Se osallistuu nykytaiteen ekologiseen keskusteluun, ihmisen identiteetin etsintään ja luontoyhteyden vahvistamiseen.
Luon M.A.R.P.S.-teoksia (Mobile Art, Research and Production System) luonnon keskellä (yleensä mitä syrjäisempi paikka, sen parempi), dokumentoiden ne GPS-koordinaatein ja analogisin valokuvin.
Taiteelliseen työskentelyyni kuuluu myös Zone Probing (ZP), psykogeografiasta ammentava tutkimusmenetelmä, jossa etsitään ihmisen muokkaamia tai luonnollisia poikkeamia, sekä Additive Enchantment (Æ), veistoksellinen lähestymistapa, jossa hylätyille materiaaleille annetaan uusi merkitys. Ammennan inspiraatiota Land Artista, situationistisesta ajattelusta ja kulkemistani ympäristöistä — luon teoksia, jotka käyvät vuoropuhelua historian, materiaalien ja ympäristön kanssa.
